It works by the collection of leukocytes in the joints, thus inducing inflammation at an early stage, and this helps in relieving the joint pain and swelling. It is also used for degenerative joint disorder and inflammation of connective tissues. This medication belongs to the class of anti-inflammatory drugs, it helps in decreasing inflammation by impeding the adhesion of migration of white blood cells. Experimental models of arthritis show that Oxaceprol decreases leukocytes extravasation as well as adhesion of leukocytes
